South Delhi civic body promises street facilities will soon be cleaner than malls

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation in a first has claimed that its street facilities and furniture will be better maintained than that in malls.

Not only the benches and dustbins, but also the toilets here are of good quality and will also be maintained at regular intervals. The street facilities are available in Lady Colony, GK-1, Hans Raj Gupta Marg; with GPS facilities. Under a study, the SDMC found that there is more urination at several places in alike areas. To develop civic senses in locality, not only these toilets are made so chic. Sanitary pads will be available here for only Rs 5. Apart form the the womenfriendly, children-friendly and elderfriendly toilets, there are are facilities for physically disabled, and there is no entry fee.

In the SDMC, RP Cell and Deputy Commissioner of Advertising, Prem Shankar Jha said, “We have been concerned about maintenance. Nowadays, the MCD is getting Rs 38 lakh per month as license fee by this company. The SDMC maintains such toilets in region of Nizamuddin Golchakkar from India Habitat Central, At Dayal Singh College, Lodhi Colony, Nehru Stadium, Greater Kailash 1, Hansraj Gupta Marg, Bhishma PItamah Road.
