JEE Main 2019 begins: West Bengal government makes special arrangement of transport facilities for candidates

Over 9.5 lakh candidates have registered for the exam this year.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main (I) Exam 2019 today, on January 8 at various centres across the nation. As per the information, over 9.5 lakh candidates have registered for the exam this year. Keeping in view, the issue of ‘Bharat Bandh’, the West Bengal government made an arrangement of transport facilities for students who appeared for the exam today in the state.

A newly constituted body National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the exam moving away from CBSE which earlier was responsible for conducting the exam. The examination mode will now be computer-based only and the exams will be conducted twice a year.

Points to remember:

  • Candidates should carry a print out of the admit card and passport size photograph.
  • Apart from this, candidates need to carry an original and photocopy of identity proof which also have a clear photo such as PAN card, voter ID, passport, driving license, Aadhaar card etc along with them in the exam hall.
  • Applicants should appear well in time for proper security tests.
